Thanks for your interest in joining the SCVMA. During the application process you will be asked to pay for your membership. Using our secure server, this payment is safe to process on line. If you are not prepared to pay at the time of application, you may contact the SCVMA Offices at 714-821-7493 and speak to Cristina who can take your application and discuss payment options over the phone. We look forward to having you as a member of the SCVMA.

Based upon your involvement within the veterinary profession, there are a number of membership categories only one of which is appropriate. Please carefully read the descriptions below and choose the ONE that most closely represents your situation.

Veterinarians

DVM - $250 - a CALIFORNIA LICENSED veterinarian residing in or practice in either Los Angeles County or Orange County.

New Graduate DVM - FREE - a CALIFORNIA LICENSED veterinarian residing in either Los Angeles County or Orange County and graduated from veterinary school within the last twelve (12) months.

Public Service/Equine DVM - $125 - California licensed veterinarian residing or practicing in Los Angeles County or Orange County whose employment is more than 50% involved with Equine or Public Service practice.

Non Resident DVM - $125 - a US licensed veterinarian that practices OUTSIDE of Los Angeles County or Orange County

International DVM - $175 - a veterinarian licensed and practicing in any country besides the United States.

Students

Veterinary Student - FREE - student enrolled full time at a college of veterinary medicine.

RVT Student - FREE - a student enrolled full time at a college providing education that will lead to the student being able to sit for the RVT exam.

Para Professionals

Para-Professional - $40 - an employee of a veterinary hospital, in any capacity, that is NOT a California licensed veterinarian.

Friend of the Association

Friend of the Association/Allied Industry - $125 - a business owner or employee of a business that provides services or products to the veterinary profession. Open to all individuals interested in the furtherance of the goals and objectives of the SCVMA
