This one-hour presentation will review the common clinical presentations and strategies for diagnosing splenic neoplasms in companion animals. This presentation will also discuss surgical considerations including post-operative management and outcomes in patients undergoing surgical treatment for splenic neoplasms.

 


 

Speaker: Dr. Kelly Schrock, DVM, DACVS

Bio: Dr. Schrock is a skilled surgeon whose clinical interests include a wide range of general and soft tissue surgical procedures, emergency surgery and complex wound management. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis. She completed two internships, in Small Animal Medicine & Surgery and Surgery, at Texas A&M University. She did her residency in Small Animal Surgery at Michigan State University, East Lansing. In her off time, Dr. Schrock enjoys gardening, horseback riding, powerlifting and biking. She and her three-legged dog, Levi, also love hiking along the local canyon and beach trails.
