Who We Are…

The SCVMA Education and Scholarship Foundation (501-c-3) was incorporated in 2015 to “provide continuing education programs for the veterinary profession in Los Angeles and Orange County areas as well as to provide scholarships  for individuals to attend veterinary medical colleges or registered veterinary technician schools”.

What we do…

All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent of the law (Tax ID: 47-5548078).  The Foundation makes annual scholarship donations to veterinary students and students enrolled in programs leading to the ability to sit for an RVT license.  These students are chosen based upon their ability to demonstrate that they originated from Los Angeles or Orange County AND the leadership roles that they have demonstrated.

Gifts are presented at the SCVMA Annual Celebration in January or February.  Application for scholarships open in July of the prior year and close September 1 of that year.  The Foundation Board meets in September to determine recipients.
