Speaker: Matthew Fricke, DVM, CVA, ANT-C

 

Bio: Matthew Fricke received his DVM from Washington State University in 1994 and has practiced companion animal medicine at McKenzie Animal Hospital in Springfield, Oregon since 1995. His areas of special interest are Exotic and Avian Medicine, Acupuncture, Nutrition, and Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Fricke was on the Board of the Wild West Veterinary Conference from 1996 to 2019, establishing the Integrative Medicine track in 2004. He has served on the board of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture since 2018, currently serving as the AAVA Delegate to the AVMA House of Delegates. He is a past President of the Lane County Veterinary Medical Association (LCVMA), served as an Executive Board Member at Greenhill Humane Society.

Dr. Fricke has given lectures to veterinarians at national conferences and to veterinary students at the OSU veterinary school. He helps to teach ANT physical therapy courses to veterinarians and physical therapists from around the world several times a year. He is certified in traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and ANT Osteopathic Physical Therapy, and uses VOM, Stem Cell/PRP, Alpha-Stim, Ozone, and PBM/light therapies in practice.

Dr. Fricke’s interests outside of practice are spending time with his wife, Katharine; daughters, Lydia and Caroline; and their cats, dogs, and alpacas. He enjoys soccer, kickball, snowboarding, wildlife rehabilitation, and home improvement projects.
