Even non-travel-focused veterinary practices have a stake in pet travel documentation, as pet travel is a fast-growing market ($2B in 2023 → projected $4.6B by 2032) with pets accompanying ~25% of senior and 40%+ of middle-aged travelers.

  • We’ll challenge you to see if your hospital’s rabies certificates are compliant for pet travel purposes. What’s missing from your certificates and why does it matter? Garbage in equals garbage out when it comes to pet data information from your medical records.

  • We’ll discuss CDC rabies re-entry rules (updated June 2024, transition ended July 31, 2025), covering the three gatekeeping questions, low- vs. high-risk country requirements, the 28-day waiting period, microchip-before-vaccine sequencing, and the USDA-endorsed Certification + CDC Dog Import Form

  • Can we reframe pet travel as a wellness and profit-center opportunity? Wellness screenings, microchip protocols, parasite prevention, post-travel checkups, and incorporating tools like Passpaw for VEHCS-integrated certificate workflows.
