This lecture will review the pathophysiology, diagnostic approach, and treatment options for gallbladder disease in dogs.

 


Speaker: Sarah Waithe, DVM, (Practice Limited to Internal Medicine)

 

Bio: Dr. Sarah Waithe is a native of Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Florida, and in 2009, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University. Dr. Waithe completed her rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Purdue University in 2010. Upon completion of her internship, she practiced in South Florida as an emergency veterinarian and subsequently joined the VCA family in 2011 as a general practitioner. In 2012, Dr. Waithe relocated to Southern California to begin her 3-year residency in small animal internal medicine at VCA All-Care Animal Referral Center. In October of 2015, she joined the team at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center as a staff internist.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Waithe is experienced in all aspects of internal medicine, including but not limited to performing bone marrow aspirates & biopsies, ultrasounds and bronchoalveolar lavage and endoscopy.
