Did you know the fundic exam can tell you so much, not just about the eye, but also about systemic disease in our patients? The fundic exam is known to be intimidating, difficult, and maybe even a little awkward for the general practitioner, but this lecture will show you how to do it WELL while also teaching you how to interpret what you are seeing. The fundic exam can give us clues about hypertension, infectious diseases, neurological disease, and so much more. Get ready to put the FUN into the FUNDUS!

Speaker: Dr. Tracy Nguyen Jaggers, DVM, Resident in Ophthalmology

Bio: Dr. Tracy Nguyen Jaggers holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UC Davis and achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences. During veterinary school, Dr. Jaggers demonstrated her dedication to research by actively participating in retinal research at the UC Davis Comparative Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences Laboratory. To further enhance her skills and expertise, she completed a small animal rotating medicine and surgery internship at the University of Tennessee, where she gained valuable experience in handling diverse veterinary cases. She completed her 3 year ophthalmology residency with Veterinary Eye Clinic and will continue working with VEC at the Alhambra location!
