This lecture will provide the updated guidelines for both the diagnosis and treatment of immune mediated thrombocytopenia.
Speaker: Dr. Tara Ghormley, DVM, DACVIM
Bio: Dr. Tara Ghormley grew up in Arizona and graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State, followed by a one-year rotating internship in San Diego. She completed her residency training at specialty practices in Los Angeles and became board certified in internal medicine in 2014. Tara discovered she enjoyed abdominal sonography and after multiple years in clinical practice, decided to open her own business with the goal of providing mobile ultrasound and in-depth case consultation to local veterinarians. She is dedicated to teaching, having previously mentored veterinary students and interns, and currently delivers online lectures for veterinary continuing education.
Dr. Ghormley is the owner and CEO of APEX Veterinary Internal Medicine, a mobile ultrasound and endoscopy service operating in the San Fernando Valley, Conejo Valley, and Greater Los Angeles Areas.
