Speaker: Dr. Amelia Sinkin, VMD, DACVIM (Cardiology)

Bio: Dr. Amelia Sinkin grew up in Oklahoma prior to attending Tufts University, where she received her degree in Biology. She went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
Following graduation from veterinary school, Amelia completed a one-year rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center in Rochester, New York. Pursuing her interest in cardiology, she then completed a one-year cardiology specialty internship at Animal Specialty and Emergency Center in Los Angeles before completing a three-year cardiology residency at the University of Georgia. While at the University of Georgia, she was selected as an AKC Canine Health Foundation Clinician-Scientist Fellow for her work on canine mitral valve disease.
Clinically, Amelia enjoys working closely with her patients, their families, and their primary care veterinarians to manage chronic conditions such as arrhythmias and heart failure. She also enjoys the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart conditions.
