When the Clot Thickens
In this seminar, we are going to discuss the pathophysiology of coagulation with a focus on different ways to achieve hemostasis from the most basic to the most advanced hemostatic techniques that are done at veterinary hospitals. The focus would be on controlling bleeding in surgery, but there will be a thorough discussion about bleeding and blood products. The focus is to make sure the primary veterinarian population becomes more familiar with these techniques and how to address intra-op bleeding.
