• Review of the principles of anesthesia and analgesia
• Discuss common neurologic diseases (e.g. epilepsy and intervertebral disc herniation) and considerations regarding anesthesia for these patients (e.g. elevated intracranial pressure and careful positioning)
• Discuss contraindications for anesthesia
• Discuss different anesthetic medications and protocols
