Join Merck Animal Health’s Dr. Sumeet Gupta in reviewing the latest innovations to come to companion animal medicine. An introduction to BRAVECTO® Quantum (fluralaner for extended-release injectable suspension), a new product for dogs labeled to kill fleas and ticks for up to 12 months.

The presentation will discuss the risks that fleas and ticks pose to dogs, and the gap in compliance associated with existing parasiticide options. The presentation will then introduce learners to BRAVECTO® Quantum, a novel approach to killing ectoparasites and the prevention of the diseases they transmit. The introduction to the product will center on handling and administration, as well as salient safety and efficacy data related to BRAVECTO® Quantum.

Bio: Dr. Sumeet Gupta joined Merck Animal Health’s Companion Animal team in Southern California as a Professional Services Veterinarian in July 2024, following three rewarding years in private practice in Honolulu. With expertise in practice management, emergency care, and exotic animal medicine, he is passionate about helping veterinarians enhance their practice and improve patient outcomes. A graduate of Ohio State’s Veterinary College, Dr. Gupta first started as an Intern at VCA West LA, then moved into emergency overnight practice, eventually becoming Medical Director for several years. After serving as a PSV for IDEXX Labs during the pandemic in NYC and transitioning to General Practice in Hawai’i, he has returned to Southern California with his husband, Manwé, and their dog, “Obiwan Kenobi”
