Osteoarthritis (OA) is a leading chronic condition in dogs, and early diagnosis is essential to improving overall wellbeing. This program offers veterinary professionals an evidence-based approach to recognizing early signs, initiating timely intervention, and applying treatments that address the underlying disease. Participants will learn to implement a standardized OA management protocol and strengthen communication with pet owners to create individualized care plans.

Speaker: Lisa Mason DVM, CCRT, CVA, CVPP

Bio: Dr. Mason leads the team at Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation. She grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Ga. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and subsequently completed certificates from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute as a Certified Rehabilitation Therapist, Chi Institute as a Veterinary Acupuncturist, and the IVAPM’s Pain Management certification program as a Veterinary Pain Practitioner.

In July 2018, she opened Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation. Dr. Mason strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to improve mobility, comfort, and quality of life for pets and their families.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. She is passionate about learning more about longevity and exercise physiology for both humans and animals.
