Dr. Simona Bouncompagni, DVM, MS, DACVIM (IM)
After graduating from the University of Camerino, Italy Dr. Buoncompagni completed a Small Animal Internship at the University of Camerino. She completed her Master’s degree in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at the University of Teramo. From there she began intensive training in abdominal ultrasound and echocardiogram in Sweden, Australia, and Germany. She began her Internal Medicine Residency at Oklahoma State University. She practiced internal medicine in many countries such as Italy, Australia, England, Germany, and the USA. Last year she moved to the University of California Veterinary Medical Center in San Diego to complete a two years Fellowship program in Renal Medicine/Hemodialysis.

Dr. Sheri Ross, BSc, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (IM)
After graduating from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada, Dr. Ross completed a Small Animal Internship at the University of Minnesota. She remained at the University of Minnesota to complete an Internal Medicine Residency combined with a PhD in Nephrology/Urology. After serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor for 2-years she moved to the University of California Veterinary Medical Center in San Diego to complete a Fellowship in Renal Medicine/Hemodialysis. She remained with the University of California and has developed a comprehensive Nephrology/Urology and Extracorporeal therapy service in San Diego. Her specific research interests include; early diagnosis and management chronic kidney disease, non-surgical urolith management, and novel applications of apheresis and hemodialysis.
