Topic: What’s New: Innovative Diagnostic Offerings in Urinary Disease

“RenalTechTM is a new AI model (developed as a collaboration among Mars, Waltham, Banfield and Antech Diagnostics) that predicts whether a cat will develop chronic renal disease up to 2 years prior to the onset of disease.

This presentation will review the data used to create RenalTechTM and support its accuracy, how to interpret the RenalTechTM Status of a cat and outline follow up and personalized care pathways using clinical case examples.

CADET-BRAF/BRAF PLUS is first liquid urine biopsy using DNA-based testing for early detection, diagnosis and monitoring of transitional cell carcinoma/urothelial carcinoma.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Ogeer graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), Canada, completed an emergency medicine/critical care residency at Tufts University/Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston and a Master of Science degree in Critical Care at the OVC. She has spent several years in academic teaching, research, clinical practice and administration as an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Canada. She is currently the VP of Medical Affairs and Commercial Marketing at Antech Diagnostics. Her areas of medical interest include kidney disease, pancreatitis, infectious diseases, coagulation and real-time PCR.
