This lecture will review the general approach to canine and feline patients presenting for chronic gastrointestinal disease, including important diagnostic considerations and a discussion of dietary and medical management options.

SPEAKER: Caitlin Fuerst, DVM, DACVIM
Caitlin Fuerst graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School. She completed a rotating internship with PetCare in Santa Rosa followed by a specialty internship in internal medicine with the Animal Specialty and Emergency Center in Los Angeles. She then went on to complete a Master’s degree and internal medicine residency with The Ohio State University. Caitlin is board certified in small animal internal medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She has a passion for interventional medicine, endocrinology, gastrointestinal disease, and renal disease. A California native, in her free time Caitlin enjoys hiking and backpacking, horseback riding, and hanging out with her cat, Guinness.
