Richard Renschen started MD Architects in 2000 focusing on creating compassionate spaces for human healthcare. In 2006, Rick was approached by a veterinary surgeon who asked him to design a large state-of-the-art specialty animal hospital combining MD Architect’s healthcare operational expertise with the care needed to treat animals. Since then, Rick has overseen over 190+ animal-care projects from coast-to-coast including but not limited to specialty hospitals, general practice, individual clinics, corporate hospitals, animal shelters and day-care facilities. Rick has more than 25 years of experience and has active architect registration in 35 states across the nation. Rick and his design team at MD Architects strive to bring their national experience and cater it to create spaces that are locally inspired and operationally sustainable.
