Wayne Rosenkrantz, DVM, DACVD- Management of Canine Atopic Dermatitis-Which Therapy and When? 

Dr. Rosenkrantz is a 1982 UC Davis graduate, who completed a private practice internship in 1983 and joined Dr. Craig Griffin for a residency-training program in 1983. His program was combined with interaction at the Medical School at UC Irvine and he achieved Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 1986.

Dr. Rosenkrantz has served on the ACVD and Australian Board of Examiners. He is a past chairman of the ACVD Research Funding Committee and has served on multiple past and present World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology Organization Committees. He is also currently a board member of the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD), which functions as a governing body for the WCVD and promotes the advancement of veterinary dermatology internationally. He is a past president of the executive board of the ACVD and has served on the ACVD board for 12 years.

Dr Rosenkrantz was awarded the DVM Pharmaceutical Award of Excellence for his contributions to veterinary dermatology. He actively lectures throughout the United States and abroad and has also been an instructor for the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies since 2005. He is also a clinical instructor for the Western Veterinary Medicine College in Pomona California for his involvement in clinical rotations of veterinary students at the Tustin location.

He has published many articles and book chapters on small animal and equine dermatology, including significant contributions to the Current Veterinary Dermatology, the Science and Art of Therapy and well as the therapy section in the 7th edition of Muller and Kirk’s Small Animal Dermatology. He is also a co-editor of a new textbook, Veterinary Allergy and Immunology.

His special interest include: veterinary dermatology therapeutics, feline and equine dermatology, dermatohistopathology, canine alopecia, immune mediated skin diseases and chronic allergic skin and ear disease management.

Melissa Hall, DVM, DACVD- The Pruritic Cat-How to Control Refractory Cases 

Dr. Melissa Hall graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis in 2006. While attending UC Davis, Dr. Hall was involved in many clubs and received numerous scholarships. She served as the class president for several years as well as the President of the Veterinary Business Club. Upon graduation, Dr. Hall completed a 12 month rotating internship with the Florida Veterinary Specialists and the North Bay Animal and Bird Hospital in Tampa, FL.

During her earlier studies, Dr. Hall developed a passion for all things dermatology. She accepted a residency position in veterinary dermatology in 2007 at Animal Dermatology Clinic in Tustin, CA and achieved Diplomate status in 2011.

In her spare time, Dr. Hall enjoys yoga, knitting, travel and spoiling her four-legged children.

Craig Griffin, DVM, DACVD- Controversies and new diagnostic tools in canine otitis externa

Dr. Craig Griffin is a graduate of Cornell University and completed his residency at UC Davis in 1980. Dr. Griffin is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD), has served on the Board of Directors and examination committee for the ACVD and was the President of the ACVD in 1999/2000. He also served as president of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and of the Western States Veterinary Conference. Dr. Griffin is the founder and co-owner of Animal Dermatology Clinic.

Dr. Griffin is a frequent lecturer and clinical instructor of veterinary dermatology in this country and abroad. He has published many articles and books on small animal skin disease, including co-author of Muller and Kirks Small Animal Dermatology 5th -7th editions and co editor of Current Veterinary Dermatology, The Science and Art of Therapy. Dr. Griffin received the ACVD Award for Excellence for outstanding contributions in veterinary dermatology in 2001-2014.

Andrew Rosenberg, DVM, DACVD- The Use of Cannabidiol in Veterinary Dermatology 

Dr. Andrew Rosenberg earned his Bachelor of Science with distinction in research from Cornell University in 2005. He received his DVM from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.  Dr. Rosenberg completed his 3-year dermatology residency with Animal Dermatology Clinic in 2013 and achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in the same year.  Dr Rosenberg was the practice owner of Animal Dermatology & Allergy Specialists with locations in New York and New Jersey and in 2021 rejoined the Animal Dermatology Clinic.

Dr. Rosenberg is the President-elect of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. He has multiple publications and lectures throughout the United States and internationally.  He has appeared on television on Animal Planet’s the Zoo, News12 New Jersey and Nat Geo Mundo.  He has also appeared on numerous Podcasts and radio shows.

Catherine Milley, DVM, DACVD- Adverse Food Reactions-Do They Exist and How to Diagnosis Them 

Dr. Catherine Milley grew up in western Canada where she earned a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Calgary and went on to graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Upon graduation, Dr. Milley worked for one year at a mixed large and small animal practice in a small town in Alberta seeing her patients in-clinic and on-farm. Her next six years were spent practicing small animal medicine and surgery at a busy hospital in St. Albert, Alberta. It was here that Dr. Milley discovered her passion for veterinary dermatology and decided to pursue a specialty career in the field. Dr. Milley accepted a residency position with the Animal Dermatology Clinic at the Louisville location in July, 2013 and obtained Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2016. She is particularly interested in infectious diseases such as parasitic diseases and methicillin resistant Staphylococcal infections as well as the diagnosis and management of allergic dermatitis in companion animals.

Away from work Dr. Milley enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. She loves to travel, bake and spend time outdoors.

Randy Thomas, DVM, DACVD- How do you Manage Methicillin Resistance with Topical Therapy Only

Dr. Randy Thomas is a 1992 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Following graduation, he worked as a small animal practitioner for 4 years in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1999, he completed a 3-year residency in veterinary dermatology at the University of Florida. He is board-certified in veterinary dermatology and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. He has been in private referral dermatology practice since 1999. He is also a courtesy, adjunct faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.

Dr. Thomas’ professional interests include allergic diseases in the dog and cat, diseases of the ear, and autoimmune skin diseases. He has contributed chapters to two veterinary texts: Cancer in Dogs and Cats (Morrison WB, editor) and Small Animal Dermatology Secrets (Campbell KL, editor). He has lectured nationally at the North American Veterinary Conference and Western Veterinary Conference, as well as numerous regional and local conferences.
