Cindy Vaca, DAVDC
Feline Dental and Oral Diseases

Dr. Cindy Vaca is a Los Angeles native and proud to return to her hometown to work at the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at LAASER.  She attended Colorado State University and completed a one-year multi-specialty rotating internship at Animal Specialty & Emergency Center in West Los Angeles. She returned to Colorado State University to complete a 3-year residency in dentistry and oral surgery.

She enjoys teaching dentistry to veterinarians, technicians, and students.  She dislikes hiking, biking, and camping!

 

 

Dr. Lisa Weeth, DVM, DACVN
The Ins and Outs of Obesity Management

Dr. Lisa Weeth received her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis, in 2002, and after spending two years in general and emergency practice she returned to UC Davis for a Residency in Clinical Nutrition. She completed her residency training in 2007 and became a Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist that year. Dr. Weeth has been in specialty practice offering in-person or telemedicine nutrition consultations since 2007 and since 2018 has been heading the Nutrition Department at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital in Los Angeles, California. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Weeth serves on the WSAVA Global Nutrition Committee; is on the Executive Board for the American Association of Veterinary Nutrition (AAVN); and is a regular lecturer at regional, national and international veterinary conferences.

Dr. Charli Dong, DVM, DACVD
Give it Your Best Shot

Dr. Charli Dong earned her degree in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her residency at Animal Dermatology Clinic in Pasadena and became a boarded dermatologist in 2016.

She was the recipient of the Resident Research Award in Clinical Science. Her special interests include atopic dermatitis, dermoscopy, video-otoscopy, autoimmune diseases, hair-growth, and clinical research.  Currently, her main research is on atopic dermatitis, focusing on developing new diagnostic tests, holistic therapies, and the understanding of atopic dermatitis. She has authored and contributed to many publications.

Dr. Dong lectures nationally and internationally, sharing her passion in dermatology with veterinarians. She trains residents, veterinary students, and currently serves as chair on the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) Exam Committee.
